Day Out with Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011

Can I get a Peep! Peep?  I wanted to let you know that I have been selected to be a  “Mommy Reporter” Day Out with Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 event at the Oklahoma Railway Museum on September 25^th.

Pulling out of the station for its 16th consecutive ride on the rails, the Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 will visit more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada. Day Out With Thomas is the only place for families to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of everybody’s favorite No. 1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, and enjoy Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Station, including stamps, temporary tattoos and hands-on arts and crafts.  Each year the tour grows, traveling to new destinations, adding new activities and welcoming new visitors.

Give Heelys Skate Shoes a Try! Review

     I have had the great pleasure of trying out a pair of Heely's.  First let me tell you that it is not as easy as it looks.  My kids thought I was crazy for giving them a try.  But I have to admit that once you get over the fear of busting your butt a few times it is fun!

     My first concern was comfort.  I have tried many types of skate in the past and some lacked comfort.  Heely's are very comfortable.  I have used them as regular shoes and no problems.  Balance is key to use them so if you have two left feet you may have an even bigger challenge.  I have yet to skate with them alone. I used my kids to help me get started.  Watch the video below to see one of my brief attempts.

     
     As you can see I am far from being good at it but it is fun to try.  One thing that did help me was to watch the How-To videos to see how to get started.  Over all opinion of Heely's is a positive one.  I think the value is a good one and the product is high quality.  I give them two thumbs up.
