We are just a few short days away from Christmas now. I hope you all have had a chance to finish your shopping because the madness has started. May you enjoy this time with your family and friends and feel the true meaning of Christmas. Stay safe and warm.

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?
I have been having a very hard time getting in to the Christmas spirit this year. Not only because of the stress of shopping (should have learned my lesson by now), but because of the Happy Holiday crap. It seems that to many people are finding the term Merry Christmas offensive. I am not sure how to take that. The saying has been around for many years. I find it offensive to have to change it now because others are starting to find it offensive.
The more people that come to the United States the more out traditions get changed. While I am all for sharing traditions, I am not for changing mine while others get to continue theirs. How is it they get freedom of religion and all that and we have to adapt to not offend them? This makes no sense to me.
This weekend I went to go shopping for lights for my tree and we saw a bunch of manta hats and considered purchasing a few. There were cute and soft. We started to search through them to find the ones we wanted and all they had was Feliz Navidad and Happy Holidays. Where was the Merry Christmas? I do not mind the Spanish version, I am from Puerto Rico after all but Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas are totally different things! While it may cause me problems at work and I some may get upset with me I will continue to say Merry Christmas. How about you?
